Well, first let me say that I am excited to turn 30. Second, let me say that I am not ready to enter my 30’s. My thinking on turning 30 was to be more accomplished and to be ready mentally and physically to turn the big 3-0, but I have less than 90 days to get a running start, or even a walking start for that matter, into my fateful 30’s. I have a feeling that I am not alone in my thinking of this endeavour. I am sure many of a late 20’s man has thought “I better get my butt in gear to turn 30″. So I have to decided to keep this blog to help myself stay on task and to communicate with the rest of those not so organized or motivated, like myself, to enter the first stage of middle age.

So I have decided to have a list of things that I would like to start to work on over the next 90 days and see how far I get. I do not want my 40th birthday to be the same as my 30th birthday, sneak up on me and all I can say is “Man those 10 years went like a blink of eye”. I will set attable goals and work a little everyday to create a fuller life.

I a few major areas to work on: Physical, Professional, Personal, and Intellectual.

  • Physical – Be able to run a 5k in 26 minutes on September 8th
  • Personal – Be able to play a part of a song on a guitar (Any song will do)
  • Intellectual – Be able to speak 3 sentances in Spanish
  • Professional – Get my Certified Lubricants Specialist Certificate

Those do not seem to bad. They look like a person could do that in 90 days, right? Well, I am determine to start and will take whoever reads this blog along for the journey.
